By May, spring feels as though it has fully arrived.
The light lingers long into the evening, mornings feel softer and there’s a quiet sense of life moving outward with more certainty. April was about gathering energy, May is where that energy begins to express itself more clearly. Growth is no longer tentative, it’s visible, tangible and in motion.
As we move further into the more yang months, there’s often a pull to do more, to move faster, to follow the momentum as it builds. Diaries start to fill, ideas gather pace and it’s easy to get swept up in it without pausing to check whether it’s actually what you need.
I’ve recently returned from a training, and there was something about stepping back into the role of student again that felt unexpectedly grounding. Spending time learning, listening, and absorbing without needing to produce or move quickly offered a different kind of rhythm. It was slower, more considered. It felt like a gentle counterbalance to the outward energy of the season.
And maybe that’s part of the invitation this month. Not to resist the momentum but to stay connected to yourself within it. To let things grow, while still creating space to pause, to reflect and to return.
Our online space continues to support that. A place you can come back to when things feel full or when you need something steadier to meet the pace of your day. May can be expansive. There’s more light, more energy, more possibility. But alongside that, there’s value in staying anchored in moving with intention, rather than just momentum.
