Classes

  • Class bookings can be made via our website or booking platform (currently hosted by Momence).

  • Class cancellations must be made at least 8 hours before the scheduled start time [12 for reformer].

  • Late cancellations and no-shows will not refunded or credited. Members will be charged £10 per for no-shows, so please ensure you are cancelling the class.

Workshops and Events

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: No credit or refund will be given.

  • More than 24 hours (up to 7 days): You may receive a 75% refund or 100% studio credit.

  • More than 7 days’ notice: You may receive a full refund or 100% studio credit.

  • If a workshop, event, or course is cancelled by us, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered the option of a full refund or transfer to another date or event.

  • Once you’ve committed to a course or multi-day event, we encourage you to attend all scheduled sessions to get the most out of the experience.

  • We are unable to offer refunds or credits in the case of personal transport issues (e.g. cancelled trains or flights). We recommend arranging personal insurance if your travel plans may affect your attendance.

  • Refunds are not issued retrospectively. If we haven’t heard from you within 24 hours after the end of an event, we will be unable to process any refund or credit.

  • Please note that while we’ll always do our best to communicate any changes in a timely way, we are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred as a result of cancellations — including travel, accommodation, or exchange rate losses.

Trainings

Some trainings require full payment, while others require a deposit, at our discretion. This will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

  • Deposits
Where a deposit is required, all deposits are non-refundable. Remaining payments need to adhere to the below cancellation terms.

  • Full Payments
Where full payment is required, the following cancellation terms apply:

    • More than 40 days’ notice: 50% refund available

    • 40 days or less’ notice: No refund available

4. Memberships & Class Packs

  • Memberships and class packs are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • Memberships and class packs cannot be shared amongst friends. If you book someone else under your account they will be refused entry and the credit not returned.

  • Class packs are valid for the duration specified at purchase.

  • Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled. If you would like to cancel your membership, please send us an email at hello@basicspacelondon.com 30 days before your next renewal. We cannot provide a refund for missed/late cancellations by you.

  • Memberships can be paused up to two times per calendar year. Each pause must be for a minimum of 3 weeks and cannot exceed 6 weeks.

  • In the event that a membership or class pack auto-renewal payment is unsuccessful, the membership/class pack will be temporarily frozen until the payment is successfully processed.

  • If you need to pause your membership due to injury, illness, or extended travel, please email us at hello@basicspacelondon.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

5. Health & Liability

By attending any class, workshop, or event at Basic Space, you confirm that:

  • You are physically fit and have no medical condition that prevents you from safely participating.

  • You take full responsibility for your own health and well-being during class.

  • Basic Space and its teachers are not liable for any injuries or damages that may occur during your participation.

f you’re pregnant or have a specific health condition, please consult your doctor before joining class and inform your teacher before the session.

6. Studio Etiquette

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts. Doors lock promptly at class time.

  • Switch your phone to silent and store your belongings respectfully.

  • Respect the space, your teachers, and fellow students. This is a shared space for movement, breath, and community.

  • Please do not leave e-bikes in our courtyard of block our neighbors cars or entrances.

7. Lateness

  • Our doors lock promptly when class starts, so we can keep the room settled and protect everyone’s belongings. There is no grace period, so please plan to arrive with time to spare.

  • If you arrive after the doors have locked, we’re sorry but you won’t be able to join that class — please don’t knock, as this disrupts the class in progress.

  • We’re not able to offer refunds or rescheduling for a missed class due to late arrival, so please do factor in travel and traffic when planning your journey.

  • If you have any feedback or concerns about how this policy is applied please email us at hello@basicspacelondon.com rather than raising it with staff in the moment, so we can look into it properly.

  • Bullying or abusive behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated. If this occurs, we reserve the right to refuse re-entry, and any remaining classes on a pack or membership will be forfeited.

8. Photography & Filming

From time to time we may photograph or film classes and events for marketing purposes. We’ll only do this with your consent — if you’d prefer not to be included, just let your teacher or our team know in advance and we’ll make sure to accommodate this.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing our Services where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, power or utility outages, fire, flood, strikes, public health emergencies, or government restrictions. Where possible, we will notify you promptly and work with you to reschedule or credit affected classes or events.

You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy, which sets out what we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.

12. SMS/Text Messaging Communications

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Basic Space (“we,” “us,” “our”) at the mobile number you provided. Messages may include class and booking reminders, waitlist and schedule updates, membership and account alerts, and occasional promotional offers. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase.

You may receive approximately 1–8 messages per month, though this may vary based on your activity — for example, you’ll receive more messages if you book classes frequently.

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

You can unsubscribe from SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. After you send STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent. If you want to rejoin, you can sign up again using the original opt-in method or reply START. For help or more information at any time, reply HELP to any of our messages. You can also contact us at hello@basicspacelondon.com.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
